City
Layers of commerce, culture and control, where the future is always under construction.

Original game lore
A world shaped by corporations, technology and the pilots caught between them.
The world
Corporate power has reshaped the world. General Resource and Neucom stand at the centre of the conflict.
National governments have faded, and two megacorporations now run much of the Usean continent. As their territorial disputes escalate into open corporate war, UPEO’s peacekeepers try to contain a conflict that is no longer fought between nations.
The factions
A peacekeeping body and two corporations vie for influence across Usea, pulling the world in different directions.
Faction profile
A peace-enforcement organisation drawn into a corporate war.
Operating under the Neo United Nations, UPEO exists to keep the peace across Usea. As the rivalry between General Resource and Neucom turns into open conflict, its Special Armed Response Force, SARF, is sent to hold the line.
Faction profile
An industrial giant with an army of its own.
A conglomerate whose reach spans industry, media and military technology. General Resource protects its interests with the General Resource Defense Force, one of the most capable air arms on the continent.
Faction profile
A technology-led corporation pursuing a different future.
Neucom built its fortune on high technology and software, and looks to space and the Electrosphere for what comes next. Its Neucom Emergency Unit flies some of the most unconventional aircraft in Usea. The export release renamed the company Neuwork.
The world in detail
From massive cities to remote installations, Usea is a world of striking contrasts. These places shape the conflict and the people who fight within it.

Layers of commerce, culture and control, where the future is always under construction.

A vast underground city in north-eastern Usea, near Saint Ark.

Usea’s successor to the internet: a global network linking people, industries and battlefields.
The Japanese release of Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere tells a far larger story than the export versions, across 52 missions and five endings depending on which faction the player sides with.
Behind the corporate war stands Ouroboros, a transhumanist group that wants humanity to leave the physical world behind through “sublimation”: uploading the mind into the Electrosphere. Its flying headquarters is the airborne carrier UI-4053 Sphyrna.
The player, a new SARF pilot named Nemo, can defect from UPEO to General Resource or Neucom. Each route reveals a different side of the conflict and of the people caught in it.
