The cities of the PlayStation era were built under tight limits. Draw distance was short, polygon budgets were small, and fog did a lot of quiet work hiding where the world ended. Yet players remember those skylines vividly. The shapes were right, even when the detail was not.
Start with the original layout
Every rebuilt city starts from the original game data. Building positions, heights and silhouettes come straight from the disc, so a tower stands exactly where you remember it and the skyline reads the same from the same approach. Nothing moves to make a better screenshot.
Add detail without changing the shape
Once the layout is locked, we add geometric detail inside the original silhouettes: cleaner edges, window bands and rooftop structure. The goal is a city that looks the same from a distance and rewards a closer look.
Let the atmosphere do new work
In the original, fog hid the edge of the world. With a longer draw distance, haze becomes aerial perspective instead. Distant towers soften and shift toward the colour of the sky, so the scene keeps its depth rather than its limits.
The Original presentation keeps the classic fog and draw distance exactly as they were. Clean and Remaster build on it step by step, so you choose how far the city changes.
